Nature is a haunted house, but...

... to be haunted".    -emily dickinson.

these little houses are dotting our little town right now  (you can read about the project here-- it is well worth learning about).  on my walk home after work tonight i took a few photos-- that woman had some serious things to say.

"I live in possibility..."
"Saying nothing sometimes says the most."
"To live is so startling it leaves little time for anything else."
"Forever is composed of nows."
"Where thou art, that is home."

we can imagine, in life, that we need to be out in the world to gain sophisticated knowledge and understanding of relationships, people, and the world-- but emily dickinson proved otherwise.

jane marple would comment that you can learn all there is to know about human nature by living in a village.

i think emily would agree.
